Fix Ubisoft Connect Launcher not launching on Windows PC

If Ubisoft Connect Launcher is not launching, starting or loading on your computer, follow the solutions mentioned in this post to resolve the issue. Let us talk about each one of them in detail.

1] Configure Ubisoft Properties

First of all, there are some changes that we need to make to the properties of the Ubisoft Connect app. These changes are done to make sure that there is no incompatibility between the system and the app. To do the same, follow the steps mentioned below. After making all the changes, open Ubisoft Connect and see if the issue is resolved.

2] Set the Priority of Uplay to Realtime

Next up, we need to set the Priority of Uplay to Realtime so that it can access all resources available and not crash at startup. To do the same, follow the prescribed steps. After changing the settings, close Task Manager and open Ubisoft.

3] Install Universal C Runtime

Ubisoft Connect will fail to launch on your computer due to missing DLL files. Although these files get installed on your computer when you install Ubisoft, there are a lot of instances where the installer missed some of the files forbidding Uplay to launch on the system. If that’s the case, go to support.microsoft.com and install Universal C Runtime. The Windows Universal CRT is an operating system component that enables CRT functionality on the Windows operating system. After installing the package, restart your computer and open Uplay, and see.

4] Clear Ubisoft Cache

Uplay will not launch on your system due to a corrupted cache. In that case, you need to clear the cache as they are nothing but temporary files and will get rebuilt once you restart the app. Open File Explorer and go to the following location. C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache Now, move all the contents of the cache folder to a different location. Finally, restart the app and see if the issue is resolved.

5] Allow the app through the firewall

There is a possibility that your firewall is blocking Uplay from accessing all the files required by it during startup. In that case, you need to allow the app through Windows Firewall, if you are using a third-party antivirus, just whitelist the firewall. After making the required changes, restart the app and it will launch perfectly.

6] Open Uplay in Clean Boot

We need to make sure that there is no third-party app interfering with Uplay and stopping it from launching on your system. To do the same, you need to boot in Clean Boot. In case, the app is launching without any hiccup, manually enable processes to find out the culprit. Once you know which app has caused this issue, either uninstall it or disable its services. Hopefully, you will be able to resolve the issue. Read: A Ubisoft service is currently unavailable on Windows
